General Manager, Comanche Star Casino
Jennifer Simmons serves as Comanche Star Casino’s General Manager in Walters, Oklahoma. As a proud member of the Comanche Nation tribe, she began her career with Comanche Nation Entertainment in 2001.
In her role at Comanche Star Casino, Jennifer is responsible for overseeing all casino departments and operations, including team members, day-to-day operations and customer experience. She strives to create a productive work environment and collaborative culture for all Comanche Star Casino employees, mentors and supports staff in professional development, consistently innovates planning and promotional strategies to enhance overall performance and supervises all budgeting and financial reports.
Jennifer has a long professional history with Comanche Nation Entertainment. Just after graduating high school and turning 18, she became one of Comanche Star Casino’s first employees. She went on to work her way through nearly every department of casino operations, including Lead Cashier, Bank Manager, Executive Assistant, Operations Manager and General Manager.
A caretaker by nature, she took a brief pause from the gaming industry to pursue her passion for nursing. She served people who were in hospice care for seven years before returning to Comanche Nation Entertainment in 2014. Shortly after her industry homecoming, she was selected to participate in the company’s Leadership and Development mentorship program at Comanche Red River Casino.
Upon completion of the two-year leadership program, Jennifer was thoroughly versed in all operational departments, including front line, supervisory and management, and was promoted to work directly under the Comanche Nation Entertainment CEO. After four years of serving as the CEO’s Executive Assistant, she advanced to Comanche Nation Casino’s Operations Manager.
Vast experience and knowledge of the industry led to Jennifer being selected as Comanche War Pony Casino’s General Manager, where she successfully spearheaded the grand opening of Comanche Nation Entertainment’s newest property in 14 years, which officially opened in early 2022. Shortly after, Jennifer was appointed as General Manager for Comanche Star Casino where her efforts remain focused on reaching a new generation of customers to support the evolution of gaming and the company’s growth.
Jennifer attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma and has completed several advanced gaming Management courses at both Oklahoma State University and University of Nevada, Reno.
Jennifer resides in Walters, Oklahoma with her husband, nine children and first grandchild. When she’s not spending time with her family, she enjoys reading and watching true crime documentaries.
