Donors can participate between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Comanche Nation Casino’s blood drive on Tuesday, May 21 and Comanche Red River Hotel and Casino’s on Wednesday, May 22. Prior to donating, all participants will receive a health screening, blood pressure and cholesterol check.

Comanche Nation Entertainment hosts blood drives at its properties throughout the year as part of its community giving initiative Comanche Cares. The drives support the state’s high demand for blood donations.

According to Our Blood Institute, someone needs blood in the state every two seconds, and one blood donation can save up to three lives. Blood transfusions are often needed for those involved in car crashes, surgeries and other treatments for cancer patients or another illness.
